In this moment of confinement and isolation, it is increasingly necessary doing physical activity to maintain psychophysical balance.
We invite you to experience the online classes of Let’s Get Physical, a physical theater training to keep moving from our home, staying in touch with our body and with other people who move together from various parts of the world. In the Let’s get physical classes we will search for our own body language, feeling the pleasure of moving and of a physical workout that activates our imagination on the basis of free movement.
We offer one 50 minute physical theatre lesson per week on Fridays at 6.00 pm in English language (with option for short translations to Spanish and Italian). The lessons are open to everyone, regardless of their experience and level.
The lessons are realized through a simple free online platform, Zoom. Zoom is accessible from your phone, tablet or computer. * Download the app for easy access.
The lessons are based on free donations. The suggested donation is € 5 per lesson. All donations are intended to support the project and continue to share it with more people.
What is Let’s Get Physical?
Let’s Get Physical is a laboratory in which physical theater is applied to the improvement of daily life quality, by using an accessible language and format. We listen to the sensations we receive from inside and outside, we work with the body and the mind together and we explore the unique physical language of each of us.
Let’s Get Physical was created by Nicoletta Cappello – actress and theatrical pedagogue – and is an international network that unites people who experience the benefits of a concrete body based transformation, exploring other ways of being and “acting” in everyday life.
Why now?
Until now the Let’s Get Physical training have been realized in shared spaces. For the exceptional circumstances we are living now, we cannot meet physically, and a space for movement is needed now more than ever: to stay in touch with each other and to strengthen our vitality.
How can you help us?
In the current circumstances, the all our training activities had to be suspended / canceled, reducing the possibility of working in this difficult moment especially for freelance artists. We have very little profit margins and little ability to save. This is why we ask you to donate generously, and as we understand the difficulty of the situation for everyone, to donate with what you can.
HERE WE ARE!
We are ready to take this opportunity to connect from various corners of the world, explore our creativity and move more than ever.
Expressive movement can bring a lot of energy to your daily life.
Sign up for lessons and also invite your friends and family. Look for a place in the house where they won’t interrupt you during class.
